YAMAHA NS-1000/NS-1000M Beryllium Dome Midrange Pair JA-0801 Description Yamaha released a very bold statement in loudspeaker design in 1976 with the NS-1000/NS-1000M. They fabricated the midrange and tweeter domes utilizing vapor deposited beryllium, making them fantastically strong, light, and expensive. The JA-0801 beryllium midrange dome is 0.03mm thick and weighs 0.03 gram. The frame and magnet however, are massive. The result is ultra-low distortion, wide dispersion, and excellent phase coherence. Crossover frequencies 500Hz and 6kHz. 8 Ohms. Condition Units are in EXCELLENT condition, show very minor wear and tear, nicks and scratches. Both protective screens are slightly deformed. Inner phase ring structures and beryllium domes untouched. Units are in EXCELLENT working condition and sound great. Voice coils measure 6.8 and 6.8 Ohms DCR. Scroll down for high resolution photos.
